PG classification
PG - Some scenes may be unsuitable for young children, however, this classification is for general viewing. Having this classification should not unsettle a child aged 8 or older.
A PG can't include:
Dangerous behaviour including knives, no focus on antisocial behaviour
Discriminatory behaviour
Reference to illegal drugs (unless it is an anti-drug message)
Mild bad language only
Nudity
Threat and horror
Mild violence only

A PG can't include:
12 and 12A - suitable for 12 years and over.
- No potentially dangerous behaviour which a child could copy.
- No discrimination
- Misuse of drugs must be infrequent and not glamorised
- Moderate bad language
- Brief or discreet sexual content
- Moderate physical/psychological threat and horror
- Moderate violence (not in detail)
15 certificate
No one younger then 15 can go and watch a film rated 15 in the cinema.
What a 15 includes:
- Dangerous behaviour
- Discrimination
- Drugs
- Strong language
- Nudity
- Sex
- Sexual violence/ sexual threat
- Threat and horror
- Violence
