Conventions of an Opening Sequence - Conclusion
After my research on the different aspects and conventions of opening sequences, I have conducted a detailed list of conventions which are included in most opening sequences. When creating my own opening sequence I will use my research to create an opening sequence which includes these conventions.
- The purpose of an opening sequence of a film is to entice the audience into carrying on watching the film.

- Soundtrack/music will usually be played in an opening sequence
- Sound affects will be used
- A sense of threat and danger/tension
